When things don’t go as planned or when I need a break from homework or social media, I often find myself sketching on sticky notes or the margins of my notebook. Over time, I realized these spontaneous drawings could grow into a cartoon series I’ve been imagining: a main character shaped by my experiences in Austria, Switzerland, Korea, and the U.S., who breaks through language, cultural, and physical barriers to become a champion. Though still unfinished, the story mirrors my own journey of growth across borders.
Sports have been another important outlet. Playing on the lacrosse team taught me what it means to push myself, to manage time wisely, and to value teamwork over results. The joy of sweating through a hard practice and celebrating small wins together reminds me that effort shared is effort multiplied.
